Other people from much further afield in the former British colonies have arrived since the 1950s: in particular, 6% of people living in England have family origins in the Indian subcontinent, mostly India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.[174][193] 2.90% of the population are black, from Africa and the Caribbean, especially former British colonies.[174][193] There is a significant number of Chinese and British Chinese.[174][193] In 2007, 22% of primary school children in England were from ethnic minority families,[194] and in 2011 that figure was 26.5%.[195] About half of the population increase between 1991 and 2001 was due to immigration.[196] Debate over immigration is politically prominent;[197] 80% of respondents in a 2009 Home Office poll wanted to cap it.[198] The ONS has projected that the population will grow by nine million between 2014 and 2039.Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EnglandWhat is /politics/ thoughts on this chart? Do you think that mass immigration is a positive thing to our society? >Please note that this is a chart based on ENGLAND not the UK.

I dont think the pop will have 9 million more people, since its actually not a massive growth of population. My prediction is: +3.7M by 2040

I do think there will be a growth but not such an increase, as people are now more hesitant to have children and abortion is being legalized worldwide, not that those are main reasons but as a factor, because of many global crisis we experience we are trying to reduce carbon emissions and others so i wouldn't advise to have more than one in the near future, and a few people agree with me, there's a strike thats (possibly) ongoing called "birth strike" which asks a question, "is it ok to still have children", not that i think the world is going to agree with this but most people now are trying to cut down on offspring, like china, it has a one-child policy but allow 2, and there will be a rise in population for sure globally, apart from a few places which are dying out (eastern-europe).
